Efficient and Fruitful
Partnerships with PlantLab

Energizing the major players in relevant markets.

Increasing our scale and visibility

PlantLab’s patented technology has applications in a range of fields including: crop breeding, retailing, pharmaceuticals, food ingredients, cosmetics, fragrances, specialty foods, floristry, and fruits and vegetables. Our technology is also relevant for charity organizations focused on fighting hunger and providing support to refugees. Due to the range and diversity of these fields, it would be impractical for us to invest in the necessary market knowledge and marketing practices required to operate in each individual one.

However, in order to grow and sustain our business, we must achieve a certain scale and amount of visibility. To do this, we develop partnerships with major players in markets where our technology is relevant and has significant potential. Partnering with major players is also important because their leverage in markets ensures that the R&D investment required will be worthwhile. We encourage our partners to work in close collaboration with us by offering them exclusive rights in their respective markets.
These markets may be limited geographically (e.g. by region), or by industry (e.g. pharmaceuticals, cosmetics), or a combination of the two.

PlantLab can be likened to a plant that requires leaves, or partners, in order to grow and flourish. While PlantLab itself is relatively small, our technology provides the growing substance that enables our partners to thrive.

Our working procedure

The development of a partnership with PlantLab typically involves the following phases.
First, we undertake a technical and economic feasibility study. Once we have completed the study, we generate Plant-IDs for any new crops. We then develop customized Growing Recipes, before reconfirming the feasibility of the project. The final phase involves the engineering, procurement and construction of the actual PPU at the client’s chosen location. Additionally, we implement Service Level Agreements to ensure that the relationship between PlantLab and its partner is maintained.

In practice, these steps are customized by client and are more detailed than what we have described here.
